We love this new dining place that’s so much similar to Tokiya 陶板屋 (one of our favourite restaurant chains in Taiwan); which we found out later that both indeed belong to the same group there.

A luscious 8-course dining at SUFOOD only costs S$25++, and it’s 100% meat free. Don’t think, “Ewww vegetarian” yet! We aren’t afraid to admit that the thought did surface on our minds but once we saw the menu and tasted the food, we were utterly convinced that meatless dining can be equally great, or even better.


The Sufood AppetizerIt’s advised to start from the right to left (lightest to the heaviest in taste) – specially imported Japanese Yuca root, oriental white water snowflake greens, and cherry tomato jelly.


Rosemary BreadsticksHomemade rosemary-infused breadsticks.


There were refillable vinegar shots (which we didn’t took photos of) to cleanse palettes and aid digestion.

Mains were exciting and creative. We wanted to order everything but were limited to the number of stomachs we had. Of all that we picked, none of them disappointed.

Vegetable Pita PocketsPita pockets to go with cheesy “vegeballs” made of mushroom, pepper and broccoli.

Star PizzaShaped like a star and tasted like one! Their record setting ‘Star Pizza’ was packed with mushrooms, cream cheese, seaweed and topped with tangy mustard sauce which tasted kinda like wasabi.

Baked Potato Al FunghiA dish that will appeal to even vege haters. I mean like – potatoes, sweet potatoes, and chunky mushrooms – how to hate?

Mediterranean Vegetable SkewersGrilled vege on sticks with delicious spiced rice.

Macaroni Alfredo CasseroleAnother favourite. Check out the cheese.

Wild Mushroom Charcoal TagliatelleCharcoal pasta topped with rings of king oyster mushrooms – such an innovative way to mimic the squid ink pasta.
