We love this new dining place that’s so much similar to Tokiya 陶板屋 (one of our favourite restaurant chains in Taiwan); which we found out later that both indeed belong to the same group there. A luscious 8-course dining at SUFOOD only costs S$25++, and it’s 100% meat free. Don’t think, “Ewww vegetarian” yet! We aren’t afraid to admit that the thought did surface on our minds but once we saw the menu and tasted the food, we were utterly convinced that meatless dining can be equally great, or even better. Starter It’s advised to start from the right to left (lightest to the heaviest in taste) – specially imported Japanese Yuca root, oriental white water snowflake greens, and cherry tomato jelly. Bread Homemade rosemary-infused breadsticks. Vinegar There were refillable vinegar shots (which we didn’t took photos of) to cleanse palettes and aid digestion. Salads Vibrant looking and refreshing – sweet potato, carrot, pepper and seasonal fruits. Favourite salad that’s savoury. Soups Their Asian styled soups were generally preferred over the creamy Western ones. Mains Mains were exciting and creative. We wanted to order everything but were limited to the number of stomachs we had. Of all that we picked, none of them disappointed. Pita pockets to go with cheesy “vegeballs” made of mushroom, pepper and broccoli. Shaped like a star and tasted like one! Their record setting ‘Star Pizza’ was packed with mushrooms, cream cheese, seaweed and topped with tangy mustard sauce which tasted kinda like wasabi. A dish that will appeal to even vege haters. I mean like – potatoes, sweet potatoes, and chunky mushrooms – how to hate? Grilled vege on sticks with delicious spiced rice. Another favourite. Check out the cheese. Charcoal pasta topped with rings of king oyster mushrooms – such an innovative way to mimic the squid ink pasta. Desserts + Drinks Every dessert is also paired with a drink of your choice. The best part about SUFOOD is it leaves you full and comforted through its journey of 8 courses, without the guilt at all ;) Sufood #02-19, Raffles City Shopping Centre 252 North Bridge Road, Singapore 179103 (Nearest MRT: City Hall) (+65) 6333 5338 Mon – Sun: 11.30am – 3.30pm, 5.30pm – 10.00pm Website Food8.5 Ambience6.5 Value9.5 Service7 Service0 7.9Overall Score Leave a Reply Cancel Reply Your email address will not be published.
