{Hong Kong} Char Siew

I love Char Siew (Chinese BBQ pork) and I’ve heard wonders about them in Hong Kong. So I tried one from a restaurant, and another from a popular local stall.

Char SiewDid a takeaway from Fu Sing Shark Fin Seafood Restaurant. I know it sounds a bit weird coming from a seafood restaurant, but their Char Siew indeed lived up to its name. The pork was thick, succulent, and glazed with lots of honey. Made-to-order ‘Polo Char Siew Buns’ are apparently good too, but they’re only available in the afternoon with dim sum. Will try them next time!

Char Siew RiceChar Siew here is slightly drier, and more fatty than Fu Sing. Still, it was tasty and way much cheaper than the one at Fu Sing. I guess this is like a quick Char Siew fix for the many locals there.
