Strangers’ Reunion

I was excited when I learnt about Stranger’s Reunion – home of the two-time and current Singapore National Barista champion, Ryan Kieran Tan (from Papa Palheta).

Strangers' ReunionLove the furniture and styling.

Cafe LatteUnfortunately, Ryan wasn’t in that day to brew us a cup of latte, but nevertheless, the Papa standard was still well-maintained.

CappuccinoSmooth, creamy, and full-bodied.

Tandoori Chicken Sandwich

Classic Smoked Salmon SandwichTheir sandwiches were letdowns though, and expensive considering the quality and presentation. The salmon sandwich (made literally using the supermarket square wholemeal bread) looks like something I can easily make at home but is sold at $9 here.

Knowing that I can never stop at one cup whenever it comes to Papa’s coffee, my friend went on further to tempt me by saying that their mocha is very popular, and so we ordered a hot and an iced.

Mocha

Ice MochaIt’s nice, but well, the chocolate sauce sweetens and overrides the distinct characteristics of Papa’s coffee. I shall stay loyal to my cap and latte.
